Here is a green chutney recipe - Avocado Chutney - nutritious
and easy to make. It
goes well with any of the Indian savory snacks, dosa,
idly or roti.
Avocado Chutney
Ingredients :
Avocado(not so ripe)
1
Red Onion
1 large
Green Chillies
5 or 6 nos
Curry Leaves
1 sprig
Cilantro/coriander leaves
1 large
bunch
Lemon Juice
2 tbsp
Water
As required
Oil
2 tbsp
Salt
to taste
Preparation :
Prep the Avocado - Halve and
pit the avocado . Then scoop out the fleah with a spoon if it is
ripe ; if not peel the avocado after removing the seed and the
chop it into small pieces.
Heat oil in a skillet.
Add chopped avocado, onions, curry leaves and green chillies. Sauté till they
the onion pieces turn
translucent.
Grind this in a blender along
with chopped cilantro, lemon juice, salt and a little water to
make a thick paste.
Serve with any of the
Indian savory snacks, dosa, idly or roti.
Note :
1 cup of grated coconut can be ground
along with the other ingredients for a different taste - in this case
one-half red onion will be enough.
